RABA Power
RABA Power was a project that for two years was dedicated to sharing different techniques and approaches on the mobility of the hips, also investigating the complex political dimensions that emerge when mobilizing this region of the body. In a society where women's sexuality is still guarded by patriarchy, it is important to understand that rolling the RABA also becomes an act of political resistance. In this practical investigation, through technical exercises, somatic practices, and a lot of raba rolling, we seek to demoralize and decolonize our sexuality, understanding this exercise also as a producer of health.
This project was created by Flora Mariah in 2018, and, as of 2019, it started to count on Luiza Cascon's collaboration. In August 2020, Luiza and Flora decided to follow individual research paths, respectively: Pelvic Dance and ANCORAR.
